Cross Country - Varsity Lowell Posts Triple Win at City Championships
The AAA/SF Section Cross Country Finals took place Nov. 19 at the Polo Fields in Golden Gate Park with Lowell taking all three team titles. The Cardinals also took the top spots in the Varsity individual races with Mark Olson taking the boys and Tamara Purpura capturing the girls title. Washington's Tareq Al-Shami grabbed the Boys Frosh-Soph individual honors. The two Lowell Varsity teams move on to the State meet in Fresno Nov. 29.
Cross Country - Varsity Cardinals Post Stellar Performances, True Test Tomorrow
Lowell XC runners posted dominating performances in the Boys Frosh/Soph and Boys Varsity last week against Balboa, ISA and Jordan HS. However, the Cardinals will be tested in every race this Thursday against perennial rival Lincoln.
This weeks 'Runner of the Week' went to Corey Worthington and Reilly Clewes for their person best runs on the 3.1 mile course.
